Operating system uptimes are like avocados: a week is about as long as you should trust one.
@Migueldeicaza and, like avocados, they are unripe most of the time, have a tiny ripe window and soon go bad.
@Migueldeicaza $ uptime
01:31:26 up 1051 days, 16:26, 11 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
@modrobert might as well post yours mother’s maiden name and what was your first car model in public.
@Migueldeicaza what ? I have multi-year uptime on my servers and I’m not trying hard. Desktops can go to a month routinely, as long as they’re using gnome.
@sankao they are exploitable, that’s why.
@Migueldeicaza I suppose they would be if they were publicly accessible. I was talking about stability only.
@Migueldeicaza Look what they took from us
@Migueldeicaza I remember when MacOS uptimes were more like potatoes.
