First day of classes tomorrow. I still wake up in the middle of the night before wondering if the other kids will be nice to me.

@mattblaze I still have "I signed up for a class and completely forgot to attend it!!!" nightmares. This seems to be a reality for some of my real students, however. 😵💫
i had a physics class where i went for the first month, took the first hourly, then didn't go again until the final. i missed two hourlies. when i showed up, my TA looked on his list, said "i thought you'd dropped this course", then told me i'd need a very solid A on the final to even pass.
somehow, i did get the A...
(better than the students who have done that for my courses... F and then they begged for an incomplete 😬 )
you are more patient than my father (PhD/professor of pharmacology) was about it. ;)
i passed physics but still failed to get off academic probation. apparently missing10 of 16 weeks worth of classes was not a path to academic success.
@ai6yr That (sort of) happened to me a few years ago as a professor. They told me the wrong room and time for my course, and it took a while for me to sort it out because the schedule available to faculty was on a different system from that for students (and were out of sync).
