@brentsimmons I've been thinking about a related point to all this, which is that the fediverse isn't adequately sustaining the creators we purport to care about.

And as much as I love the fediverse as a less capitalist community where I can exist without being sold something, we're all made of people who need to make a living somehow.

Maybe it's time we think about how the fediverse can help with that, and how we can avoid the mistakes of <gestures generally everywhere>.
