Apparently we've just seen the first murders committed by an autonomous AI-driven weapon.

In this case the weapon was a drone, it was Russian, and the victims were Ukrainian civilians. We're bound to see endless variations on this theme, starting now.

The murderers are those that launched it.
Both indiscriminate.
It may only be the first used by the Russians.

NYT always hates being the first to report on anything. they are late movers.
@petersuber Maybe the first by a mobile weapon, but the Korean DMZ has had fully autonomous gun emplacements for quite a while.
