I’ve thought before that Paul Graham, unlike most of the Silicon Valley VC dudes, actually remembers the last AI bubble because he’s a Lisper. I remember him writing derisively about how vapid expert system technology actually was (though of course you can always claim to have been right in hindsight)

He also clearly recognizes the deleterious cognitive effects of LLM dependency, having written about it
