Morning! Apparently CDs are back in vogue. As far as I'm concerned they never went away, so this was an amusing read. Although mentions of 'cultural capital' and a possible 'USB revival' made me vomit.

I'm always suspect of these [physical format] revival things, because whilst there usually is an uptick it's often a lot smaller than people are making out.
For example I used to see people using charts like this when the vinyl revival was the big topic

But when you look at a wider period of time like this both the vinyl and cd revival are a lot more statistically insignificant than people would like you to believe
