Apple has made a `fm` foundation models CLI that lets you chat with their new models.
But the `private cloud compute` one is inexplicably locked to _ONLY_ the Terminal.app - you can't use it from a modern terminal like GhostTTY…
Why? Who knows? Apple is afraid people might find it too useful? Instead of putting real limits on it they lock it to Terminal.app
But that restriction is trivial to bypass.
PCC has a quota usage - so they can limit anyone abusing it.
Why the Terminal.app restriction. Anyone got a guess?
No one is using Terminal.app in 2026.
