Catima - a FOSS loyalty card and ticket wallet for Android, which isn't tied to an Apple or Google account, and doesn't share data - is superb.
When we visited a museum yesterday, I bought a ticket online first, and their ticketing system offered me a ticket for an Apple device, in .pkpass format.
I downloaded it and opened it in Catima. And it worked perfectly, scanning the QR code to get in.

Can catima run on a e-reader?
I came accross catima as I was looking for a way to conveniently upload traveling and event tickets on an ereader, leveraging their endless battery on journeys.
@neil I casually stumbled on Catima and it's been great! I scanned my library, gym, and other cards into there and it just *works*. I had a hunch that a card with a barcode should be something I can add to my phone, if I can with QR codes or proprietary wallets. I'm glad I found this.

I use catima since several years. It works great. One of the most valued features for me besides local storage is the export and import function.

Got a couple of cards added and away to try them shortly when shopping. Now I wonder if there are apps for Linux mobile too like this ?

I’ve been using fWallet for a while, but it doesn’t associate itself as the pkpass files so I always have to save them from emails and then open them: if I try to open them directly Google Wallet pops up and needs reminding that I don’t want it. Does Catima do this better?
Here's what it looked like opening a PDF containing multiple tickets directly from a Signal conversion. Did have to open it 4 times to add all tickets
