Awwww. I just saw a TV show in which the writer correctly used the phrase "raises the question", which describes a situation in which an answer of some kind immediately prompts another question, instead of "begs the question", which describes a situation in which a syllogism or other logical argument is made where the conclusion was already directly embedded in one of the premises.
Warms my heart, in this day and age, to see someone use language correctly.

Hey. You know the one group of people you don't need to tell that usage changes over time, inevitably, and naturally?
The people who know enough to see it changing, and lament it.
(It astonishes me how many people feel they have to inform me that some language loss I lament is just how it is. I already know how it is. I am lamenting how it is.)
@GeePawHill Spend 30 minutes learning about the history of the English language (or any other) and stop complaining. Language loss is real but it’s because of English.
