@jpm are they all linked together? That's pretty awesome! How fast can you control them?
@petrillic 3 independent per PCB, 8 cascaded together, controlled by a FPGA. Still in design, targeting about 2MHz from end to end.
@petrillic I should be able to get it much faster than that because I’ve put a 1:2 clock buffer for every signal on every board - one output goes to the next board, the other goes to the ‘595
@petrillic but that’s mostly to control the distance involved - each PCB will be about 160mm on each side. So with 8 of those, that’s a loooooong way
@petrillic definitely going to outsource the assembly of these because there’s well over 400 passives per board…
