The white neoliberal anger people have on this site would be so useful directed towards real-world causes. If only a single one of our fundraisers got 20% of the attention the latest tech drama has, it would be fully funded in no time.

You’ll boycott a platform but not participate in BDS. You’ll boost rage bait but not spread awareness about Palestine/Iran/Lebanon. You will never take the concerns of brown and black people on here seriously. I’ve faced more racism and sexism on here than anywhere else.
The tech community can never flourish on here because it’s inhospitable to women and people of color. We can never build resistance and mutual aid networks on here because it’s inaccessible to people who don’t want to learn the janky UX and because migrating servers is impossible without losing everything.
People on here suffer from the same reply-guy mindset that people on every other platform do. You’re not superior. You’re just insulated in your bubble.
