Friends, have you seen the investigation on UK students, including those at Oxford and Cambridge, hiring Kenyans to write their papers and dissertations?
I assume it wasn't cross Atlantic news as the media only seems to be interested in laundering eugenics into the mainstream.
Think about the audacity of them telling Black people that we're subpar DEI hires and frauds such and these students hiring Black people to do their work for them and pass it off as their own.

would love to be part of making that a reality. form some kind of alter-network of intelligentsia outside formal academia that sheds the racist and elitist background that continues to plague those institutions, while retaining the intellectual rigor, knowledge creation, and collaboration. mb it already exists in various ways...

@cstross @timnitGebru does not surprise me one bit. When I visited Kenya in 2016 I had more nuanced and deep conversations around the politics and economics of it with our Safari guide, and other Kenyans we met than I'd ever had with another British person. Also met some really sharp and talented developers in Nairobi who were clearly doing more with way less than any developers in the west had at their disposal.
