Seems everyone is mad screaming over there. Of course "Everyone" is who the system shoves in my face. It really wants me to follow celebrities and brands and those are the things I absolutely do not want to follow.
I miss filters. I miss content warnings.
The numbers are weird. What does anyone do with 50,000 followers? That's not a real number. Every shitpost is being broadcast to a stadium full of people? That is absolute nonsense.
@troublewithwords I found there was no point being there. Barely anyone seemed to want to talk. So I left
@urlyman Yeah. It's an experement in "marketing". I gotta sell more books. The Fediverse folks are amazing and I've sold more through my modest following here than anywhere else.
I'm trying to give it a chance for "books in front of more eyeballs" not anything else.
We will see. I'm not encouraged so far.
