@Edent so why don't we have battery recycling facilities everywhere
Not the half arsed crap in supermarkets where they clearly don't handle them properly.
The local hwrc act indifferently if asked which bin to pur a device with a battery, got hold electronics and that one clearly says no batteries :-/
@Edent Single-use vapes are still being used and sold. And the re-usable ones are being sold so cheaply they are being disposed of anyway.
@realcainmosni what did Trading Standards say when you reported them?
@Edent I find the evidence outside discarded on the street and at the kerbside. Nothing to report, unfortunately. Free lithium cells, but not much to report.
@Edent multiple-use vapes are so cheap they are also being discarded. The Fire Chiefs are asking for a mandatory £5 deposit on them to encourage responsible disposal.
@Edent Thanks, I didn't know that
@Edent If the multi-use ones aren't much more expensive than the single-use ones were, people will just treat them as disposable. Which for many means "drop it on the ground when you've finished with it".
I have a friend who made good use of batteries he extracted from vapes picked up off the ground.
