it really puzzles me, how people hand out content and expect it to be displayed as they intended. Even more so for 'rich' content other than `text/plain`. IMO one of the fallacies of #ActivityPub. (Besides unwarranted #complexity, naturally)

As for answering your question. With protocol-with-holes and without a "Solution development for the ActivityPub Semantic Web" robust guidance, it is impossible to make the most of the AP fedi.
The popular guides on the fedi are "Big ball of mud development" and "Whack-a-mole programming", so we should set expectations accordingly: Fediverse is sticky notes on the fridge, and the notes easily fall off.
