Looking at sliding door wardrobes to try to decide if I fix my current open wardrobe, do the insane thing of trying to DIY it somehow, or replace it.

And given the prices for options that are nearly all too big for the space I have, DIY is looking appealing. Problem is, I don't see an easy way to do that either.

You'd think there would be more and better options for hanging clothing storage or wardrobes in smaller rooms or narrower spaces, and yet. (Another option would be to replace the thin plastic pipes that make up the structure of the current wardrobe with hardwood dowel of a similar diameter, but I don't know how I'd make all the corners work, plus I don't think it'd be any better at holding up to the amount of stuff that has to go in there.)
