One of the last remaining things I actually have to use Windows for is watching NOW TV on a laptop.
Figures that Sky would be the kind of arseholes to be actively hostile to Linux use.
I just want to watch F1 TV on my second monitor while I work, Sky. Why the fuck do you feel the need to block Linux people from that.

@garius It's not that they have a hate on for Linux specifically, it's that they enforce hardware-backed DRM that isn't available on Linux (except Chromebooks). There's a whole lot of blame to go around here spanning Sky, Google, the whole content industry and the whole computer industry.
@willegible oh I'm quite happy just blaming Sky given that everybody else does it fine.
@garius That an enterprise built on Murdoch foundations is fundamentally user-hostile is utterly unsurprising. But I wonder how "actively user hostile" they are. (It's 12 years since I ditched the Sky box ; I have no dog in this fight)
How much of Sky's internal systems are Linux-based? Do they in-house have the depth of knowledge to be *actively* Linux hostile? Or are they using someone 3rd party tech from 20(?) years ago & that's where the hostility lays?
Does this product work on Macs?
@WellsiteGeo the issue is that their DRM solution is old and windows-only.
It's been flagged to them multiple times in forums, and they just ignore it.
@garius Also TomTom, which built its products on Free Linux but still relies on MS to install updates. Shameful behaviour.
