I love that rain is in the forecast. I missed it.
I did not miss looking at the sky and the forecast to assess the risk of hanging washing out in the garden to dry.

@neil Now you can hang the laundry out to wash, then take it in to dry.
@neil The weather app yesterday said 25% chance of rain in the evening, so I glanced at the sunny sky and decided to take doggy for a walk along a tree-lined road and path with a canopy of greenery (just in case). We got to that part, the sky darkened, there was torrential rain, thunder and lightning. We were partly OK (wet-ish) and as we made a start back home, my better half pulled up in the car to rescue us. Back to traditional weather then.
@neil there is an alternative solution that I see everywhere since I moved to the Basque Country - a covered laundry line. They've been a thing here for decades.
Something like one of these (not a specific recommendation, it's just the first site I found with useful images):

@narpoleptic Interesting! Thanks. I have never seen something like that before.
@neil Not sure if this will help, but a friend found this site which can give approximate times for a laundry load out on the line.
@neil Oh, I never visited the site before, it's actually an app, that sucks.
@barrowofdirt It is a cool idea, but yes, a shame that it is an app!
