Our "50 Shades of Modern" exhibition is now open and I just got my first look. My favorite things are often the ones with special physical qualities--here, an abandoned early American edition of Fanny Hill used as wastepaper in binding, an erasable ivory pocket calendar, a trompe l'oeil drawing of letters in a notebook, and an instruction book on sewing with a miniature model shirt. https://library.harvard.edu/exhibits/50-shades-modern
