Took the common recommendation and got the Inovelli White smart switch. Beautiful and love the LED bar, but the paddle sometimes doesn't respond, seems like an unfortunately wide spread issue (and a dealbreaker) for such an expensive switch. Zooz next? https://community.inovelli.com/t/consider-making-the-debounce-on-all-models-configurable/20983/13
@christianselig I’ve got a variety of Zooz switches in my house and have never had any issues with them 👍
@christianselig You will be quite happy with Zooz
@christianselig I have Zooz for all the smart switches in my house. Only issue I've found is that the 4 non-main buttons on the zen35 dimmer and scene controller only do zwave actions intermittently when the main light is on. E.g. button two turns on the dining table light and works flawlessly if the main light on the switch is on but doesn't talk to home assistant at all if the main light is on 9/10 times. I may have a bad unit, I only have one.
No issues with the zen71, 72, 76, 77 though.
@christianselig I have older Z-Wave Innovelli switches and one thing that improved the responsiveness was disabling multi-tap interactions. Not sure if it's still the same way, or if it has nothing to do with your problems.
Ultimately, I started migrating away from Innovelli to Aeotec: switches are slimmer, and simpler as they don't have a light bar or action button (neither of which I needed).
In any case, thanks for sharing about the White series. I was curious about their Matter offering
@dhritzkiv Yeah disabling multi-tap definitely improves latency but this is more an issue of it never receiving the action at all for whatever reason 😐 Will look into Aoetec
@christianselig I like the Lutron Caseta Diva https://www.casetawireless.com/us/en/products/dimmers-switches/diva-smart-dimmer-switch-expansion-kit
@agarrharr Doesn't support smart bulbs unfortunately :(
@christianselig had a lot of trouble with Inovelli myself too. What a bummer.
@mattiem womp womp. installed a beta firmware update and it got a bit better but still bad
