i made a 3d rendering filesystem for plan 9.

it is composed of two parts: the filesystem
proper, and the renderer backend.

this is intended to replace /dev/draw for 3d
programs. instead of interacting with a
framebuffer and implementing its own
renderer, the client writes meshes,
objects, lights, textures, among other 3d
things, to the filesystem, and lets it cook

There's a smart guy, visionary perhaps who I do think has taken a wrong turn (LLM everything) but before that was no longer interested in the filesystem (while I was building file mounts and other ways for his project to interoperate with legacy tools, apps and data).

He's convinced that the filesystem should be replaced, and sit behind a UI which never deals with files. Eg on Android trying to do simple things with photos frustrates the fuck out of me.

The FS is a *universal* UI.
