@hbons We need a timeline website like "Web3 is going great" but for the #LinuxFoundation and prominent pro-AI kernel and higher stack developers and their statements. We need to document this shit.
I don't have a SoundCloud. but if you want to help out a real human designer in FOSS: https://planetpeanut.studio/sponsors
“We never stop learning!” I scream as I surrender the last of my cognitive facilities to the machine.
@hbons they also just argued for a license change for "open source AI models" (which means open weight models) that will hinder people from suing model providers if they ever used a model. Linux foundation is not an ally.
@hbons given they (apparently) also won't answer inquiries about AI use in the kernel https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/e12330b9-c29e-45ca-9375-9e3d13426d85@horse64.org/T/ I can't say I'm particularly surprised. They're on Mastodon btw, @lfeurope
@hbons
I've heard of floppy disks and flippy disks but this is an abomination
@maker_tom @hbons what's a flippy disc
@WizardOfDocs
In the early days of 5.25 and 8 inch disks, some drives only had one head and could only read one side of a disk. A flippy disk is a regular disk that was modified to have two index holes so you could flip the disk over and use the second side.
