‼️As of August 19th, the U.S. will be adding a 50% tariff to all of the goods I sell and export from Canada. My shop is now CLOSED TO ALL U.S. SALES - effective immediately.

This is catastrophic and insane, but I expect nothing less from that administration.

So far, I’ve been able to manage a 10% tariff - but 50%? Yeah, that’ll shut my business over the border down.

It’s quieting down now as school season kicks in and folks get into their routines.

@aburka Etsy does not even deal with tariffs, they make us pay what’s called DDP (collect from customer up front and pay), and use other shipping services outside of Etsy to ship into the U.S. (since August of last year).

I’ve been filling out customs forms and paying broker fees for each order since then.

Folks have no idea how much of a headache it is.
