I had 3 hours straight of back-to-back intense meetings on various aspects of satellites destroying astronomy with different groups of people. This dishcloth I knitted during the meetings expresses my sentiment perfectly.
@sundogplanets That's #craftivism at it's best! 👍🏼💪🏽
@sundogplanets I am from Gaza, where we have seen how deeply human life and the environment can be affected by conflicts and destruction. I understand the frustration of seeing something valuable like astronomy and our connection to the universe being harmed. Protecting knowledge, nature, and the beauty of our world is important for all humanity. I hope your efforts lead to positive change.
@sundogplanets I need more people like you on the meetings I keep getting dragged into.
@sundogplanets
Now that is funny 😂
And
Also sad I suppose.
Did anyone notice your furious knitting? 😀
Are you aware of this https://www.sflorg.com/2026/07/ms07062601.html ?
@Daniel_Blake Yes, Starlink tried it and it made their satellite overheat and fry the electronics.
@sundogplanets Oh, that’s very unfortunate. ☹️
@sundogplanets you might want to use #knitting hashtag
@sundogplanets I'm planning to knit a couple of those to bring to my friends when I visit.
@sundogplanets "Click on the boxes that say 'FUCK'"
Sorry, Verification failed, please try again.
@sundogplanets wonderful way to communicate - protest knitting! 💪
@sundogplanets
I ove the tension changes as a linear and measurable metric of you r frustration, and i thank you for your sacrifice
@bloognoo HAHA I didn't even notice that, you're totally right.
If you ever need a side hustle I would pay untold amounts of money for such a knitted dish cloth
