Today we released #Vernissage 1.37.0 🎉
You can now follow hashtags: photos marked with followed tags will appear in your private timeline. Status details also show common hashtags and clearly highlight tags you follow.
The iOS app with hashtag-following support has been submitted to Apple for review and should be available soon.
This release also includes notification improvements, minor fixes, documentation updates, and other refinements.

@vernissage For info, within the iOS app, if you go to Search, search for something that produces results in Statuses, then tap any hashtag within any photo listed under Statuses, you’re taken out of the app and into Safari. That doesn’t seem to happen in other areas of the app.

@Quicky Seems like a bug. When you open the status and then click on the hashtag, it works correctly. Something to improve 😉
@vernissage any chance of a build for the previous iOS (18)? It should just require an additional target setting for the project. I still can’t bring myself to use the glass UI.
@nabeards Unfortunately, it’s not just a matter of changing the target. To release something for a specific OS in good conscience, I need to run the app on that OS and check its UI and performance. I don’t have an iOS 18 device for such testing. I don’t like Liquid Glass either, and I’ve disabled it as much as possible, but it won’t be going away for the next few system versions, so it can’t be avoided forever. 😉
@vernissage hello, any chance instagram imports are in the works, for those of us that want to move from there but keep our history?
@Crates In short, no. A more detailed explanation of why is included in the attached image (as it’s difficult to fit everything into 500 characters 😉).
