@neil I had to think long and hard about this one
Rocky horror, like you, preferably live
Blues Brothers
Kinky Boots
And (at the risk of upsetting people at large) The Lion King live. I saw it in London not long after my dad died and it really stuck with me, though I couldn't watch it again for the longest time. I was brave and saw a gorgeous production in German in Hamburg recently. I cried a lot. It's an emotional connection.
@neil
South Park Movie
@neil
Rocky as a live show. YES!
Not to reveal my age, but I saw the first live production, ever, way b4 the movie, at The Whisky a Go Go, a dive on the Sunset Strip, with Tim Curry making his entrance atop the long table I was sitting at, with all of us
looking up, inches away, at a great
view of his ripped net stockings and heels. It was a night to remember. Went again the next week and took friends. The start of it all.
@neil I'll always have a soft spot for Jesus Christ Superstar.
@neil I was recently floored by "Next to normal", a very good work about a very heavy topic. Bring plenty of tissues...
