@cwebber It's a great story and gives me hope too, esp. the surprising speed at which solar has developed the last decade. One caveat: Source of electricity generation! The cheapest source of energy is still fossil if you take fuels into account, a major part of our total energy consumption.

Myth: Solar energy is safe and harmless.
Fact: If the sun explodes, it will kill all life on Earth.
@cwebber And, outside the US, the world is actually doing rather well with it, investing, subsidizing, supporting.
