one of the most enjoyable thing of mastodon via app—in my experience—is that the timeline doesn't get refreshed automatically: i can close the app ( @pachli in my case) and when i open it again, i see the last post i looked at before

the anxiety of other social media of losing a nice thing only for an automatic refresh of the app or closing the app itself (or sometimes even blocking the phone) is completely gone here ^^
