The problem isn't "too much software."
It's who owns the software, and what they optimized it for.
Healthcare isn't worse because of software. It's worse because healthcare software was built to maximize billing extraction, not patient outcomes.
Social media isn't worse because of software. But it was built to maximize engagement, not connection.
More proprietary closed #software built for profit extraction? Yeah, that'll keep making things worse.
Is the problem the software itself, or the people who own the software, and their perverse incentives to prioritize profit over all else?
Maybe Capitalism was the problem all along O___O
I don't think vibe coding will fix that by any means, especially since the LLM providers are part of that perverse profit incentive.
I think more open-source/self-hostable software is good -- more propriety closed software is bad.
