Is one really the loneliest number?
No. One has lots of friends and things to do.
The loneliest number is out there on the edge of the universe of mathematics. It has too many digits for anyone to write down. It looks really cool in several bases, it has so many interesting properties, but nobody will ever see it, ever reach it by any process, never know it exists, not if we look down every path until the sun swells and the seas dry up.
