its really impressive how bad these models are. like, they'll generate slop with no effort, but if you try to generate something that's actually well defined and specific with thought behind it, forget it, it's like pulling teeth. you're fighting with a lobotomized markov chain

They make pictures that are extremely impressive but only to people that don't give a single shit about art.

its easy to see why people are drawn to them. there are highly curated, extremely cherry picked, random ass demos that make it look REALLY powerful

but its also easy to see why nothing good ever comes from it, because there's no ability to get what you want

this is the fundamental problem of Generative AI. there's significantly diminishing returns. whereas just Learning the Skills have growing returns
