In this age of "AI", that old dragon of measuring developer productivity by output (lines of code, commits, tickets etc) has reared its head again.
The idea in particular that "coding == productivity" still has a strong grip on our industry, and I see many takes from managers who believe that coding needs to be maximised.
But what if coding is really when we're *least* productive?
