At the same time, ICE is telling its employees and prosecutors that observers are “domestic terrorists” and agents have been threatening and even arresting such observers. They also then use software that provides the identity of observers, and telling them that the government knows who they are. Such access of privacy data are only supposed to occur in the context of a criminal investigation. There have been multiple reports that ICE officials will drive past observers homes to intimidate them, and not just in Minnesota. The agents, of course, are typically masked. They do not want to reveal their identity.
