Hello! I was wondering if you lot had considered quitting twitter/x? I've always admired Donna's and HYDW's moral stances, but I reckon remaining on twitter is morally indefensible given that it is owned and largely populated by shitheads. I realise you've gotta be where your audience is, but I'm not sure if that should extend to hitler's child abuse emporium. Cheers, Travis.
Here's their response. No commitment, but they're considering it. A little bit mealy-mouthed, but not as bad as it could be, I guess.
@tj @Urist_McRabbit at least they acknowledge it - i wonder what's holding them back? is there that much juice for their comedy on X that not using it would cause them distress??
@decryption @Urist_McRabbit I think it's just a matter of cultural inertia. There's a lot of people in bubbles that've avoided learning or caring about all the terrible shit. Donnar reasonably want to be able to stay connected to that part of their audience.
I also disagree with them diversifying onto a different billionaire's walled garden, but hey: Baby steps.

@tj i like their work too and also wish they'd stop using X - hope they realise whatever they get out of it as a platform isn't worth the moral culpability of using it
