Suella Braverman is SUCH an awful person that she's gone straight through to the other side of over the top pantomime villain. Like White Rock Theatre, Hastings panto (oh no she isn't!).

She could come out on TV and say 'Hi everyone, I'm evil' and it would have no greater effect on how people view her. I strongly suspect she could order the eating of babies and the same people would mostly still defend her (yeah, the babies deserved it, yeah, if you think about it, yeah).

I believe it's why we have a growing mental health epidemic in this country. We can't possibly reconcile how we feel as human beings with what we see happening around us. Like if I went into a shop and every other person in the shop was a Mr Blobby, but all of the media insisted it was normal and I was the one with the issue.

But....b-but everyone is a Mr Blobby (I'd protest)

To which they'd respond - Blobby Blobby Blobby Blobby Blobby

And I'd have to go to my sympathetic but still a Mr Blobby doctor to get some pills to numb my tormented mind.
