I'm rejigging my bedroom to make it more accessible for me now I'm increasingly disabled.
The main complication is currently my plants. Especially my Monstera.
I need it. If anything I need more plants in my room! So we're looking at a plant stand to give me some more room.
So plant people question - will a Monstera do ok if I repot it into a deeper rather than wider pot?
Current pot is 38" across at the top and about 34" deep.

I think it should be okay.
But check the roots before make a decision. If it is too root bound - the roots fill the pot. Then she will probably be happier with a 2inch wider pot

@alexisbushnell sure. But if she is rootbound, she will appreciate also small increase in width, so that the roots can grow and not stay compacted 🌿

I've repotted one in the distant past. iirc it didn't like it initially but after a few months was back to growth again.
@AlisonW this one has already been repotted once and is doing well, still growing so outgrown the current pot again.
