I have to sit down regularly this year to think of research that will a positive impact on society. I am happy that several ideas gained ground and that my contributions are making a change. yet, as ongoing history makes clear, all is lost in no time (as many researchers already saw in the past 12 months). 1/

One thing I want to do, is make a local PDF archive of works I cited. I probably put then on my UM-expected Microsoft drive. I'd personally worry that they are shared with third-parties, and likely at some point get processed by some AI in some training exercise.

But it's the choice of my university, so I guess that's okay. Makes me think of Aaron Swartz, tho. 2/

so, this is what I plan to do.

1. set up a folder structure for PDF files (yeah, not ideal)
2. set up a Turtle-based index system to track my progress

And then for each work I published (start with journal articles):

3. digitize all citations in my works
4. get a PDF of that work and put that in my archive of step 1 and 2

And finally,

5. use the Turtle (and tools like @citationjs) to autogenerate a website to track my progress

btw, as a final note, I like to repeat my #openscience request to everyone, when you cite websites, please archive the website upon submission. See https://doi.org/10.59350/q8zfm-45s98 4/4

Scholarly journals should use "Archived on" instead of "Accessed on"
