The UK university system is at war with itself as institutions scramble to gain student admissions & the associated fees.
The Russel Group has expanded overall share of admissions last year from 25% - 27%, with some universities claiming 25% increase in applications for 26/27.
High profile (quality?) universities are drawing in more applicants leaving others scrambling to find students
This aggressive re-balancing of higher eduction will be painful for all.
