I'm really glad that this doctor is fighting for patients' right to not suffer at their end of life. This case is about religious institutions' right to not provide MAiD, and transfer their patients out to facilities that will.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

I have complex feelings around medical assistance in dying, but most of them revolve around the right to live with dignity, not just to die with dignity.

This case does not go anywhere near those complex feelings, but more: what religious rights and obligations do publicly funded institutions have under the Canada Health Act. It's worth paying attention to.
