This Friday folks in Minnesota, supported by labor unions, Indivisible, and others are planning a walkout. I would like to create an online site where we could collect and display messages of support. Does anybody here have technical skills to set up collection and generate display? I have some ideas re the former but I’m not sophisticated about this sort of project/workflow. DM if you are and can help.

I would love to see that, but even for other events / protests / etc.
Could be as simple as a new Mastodon account, or something more intended for photo sharing (maybe pixelfed, though I haven’t used it yet)

@heidilifeldman i would have to look at @pixelfed and other tools… it would be amazing to have a user-contributed mechanism (with moderation). For example maybe just tagging @-so and so with a photo attached could submit to review for the feed or gallery.
@heidilifeldman @pixelfed all mastodon accounts produce an RSS feed. I assume pixelfed is the same. Theoretically there must be some tool that could pull everything from a feed into a pretty gallery for after the fact archiving. :)
