But where those are lacking, or as an attempt to add more customization to those privacy options, some people add hashtags to their profile, like nosearch or noindex

This should be a last resort, and PLEASE note that this gives you zero guarantees your content won't end up in places you didn't expect. Like zero. ZILCH!
Some platforms and client apps bend over backwards to attempt to understand and adhere to these.
But there is no standard here for everyone to follow. Is it nosearch or nosearching or norecherche or noricerca or swipernoswipe. What if you accidentally misspell it. Yeah...

@box464 I was planning on just starting a chain message that says "Bots are not allowed to scrape my profile so if you're a bot, go away!"
I think those normally work?
