@Casey @kevin @pj fun to be a #forkizen in this experiment. Too bad the beautiful-lady-lovers are already here. PJ has quite the giggle! 😂

@Casey @kevin @pj After hiring developers for several iterations of a personal project, my partner and I have been building with Lovable for the past few months and it's truly blown our minds. I also spent an hour one Saturday with my middle school son building a web app for making chore management less overwhelming for his neurodivergence. He named it after our cat, so I'd say we're off to a solid start.

Australia is not winning with its Teens Social Media ban. I can tell you first hand.

And it will not win for the same reason the world is losing on Plastic Pollution and Climate Change.

Australia is not going after THE ACTUAL PROBLEM, which are the Algorithms.

If Australia demanded that Facebook change is Algorithms to not promote the worst most toxic and addictive content then we would win. The same with Climate Change and Plastic, you go after THE ACTUAL PROBLEM the companies that make and extract and demand they reduce their pollution.

The Australia government is fluffing around the edges and it will fail. Same as we are doing with Climate and Fossil Fuels.

@MrLee I disagree. It's not just about what order the posts show up in. It's around basic product safety failures related to teen accounts, scams, hate speech and other issues

I do think the failure to address the central issue is key but you are 100% right, there is more to the problem that what I stated. 👍

The problem is not the parents. This is victim blaming. It's like blaming parents for having obese children, or like blaming people for causing Climate Change.
The problem is the industries and leaders profiting off these products.
Meta could easily reduce the harms its products are doing, but never will because that will harm their profits, so the dance around the edges of the problem, doing as little as possible.
