TIL: IEEE Computing in Science & Engineering (eISSN 1558-366X, EiC: @JeffCarver) now has a department "Research Software Engineering" [1]!
Department editors are Anna-Lena Lamprecht (U Potsdam, DE) and Miranda Mundt (Sandia Natl. Labs, US) 😍.
The topics seem very much aligned with the work of the existing RSE associations ( @de_rse, @ResearchSoftEng, @us_rse, @nordic_rse, etc.) and other initiatives in the #ResearchSoftware space (e.g., @SoftwareSaved), so will be a suitable publication venue for RSEs.
Additionally, it accepts work on "analyzing and improving the development process of research software", so will be a suitable publication venue for Research Software Engineering Researchers (see https://ser-rse-bridge.github.io/).
