Will the Joint Chiefs of Staff be able to defeat the Stephen Millers, or will they throw in the towel and knowingly carry out militarily illegal actions against a #NATO country?!
Imagine having taken every step for decades in accordance with the Constitution and the rules of engagement, with all their complexity, only to now be forced to listen to the plans of someone like #StephenMiller…

@wlaatje
If American survives this tragic period, if constitutional voices once again gain control, every single one of these military cowards should face sanction for following or issuing illegal orders. Dishonorable discharge, loss of pension, jail, whatever is warranted by their illegal actions.

@wlaatje If the rules of engagement and constitution allowed for Irak, Lybia, Afghanistan Somalia, Granada. Panama and nearly countless interventions ... Then they wetent working for people outside the US. Miller or not.

@dacig As a European, and often with our countries in the role of America’s lapdog, you are absolutely right. Trump’s desire for prestige, to further expand his footprint within his lifetime, even at the expense of “allies” or perhaps even NATO itself, is substantively the same imperialism for an Iraqi, Panamanian, or Afghan: imperialism covered with a thin layer of moldy promises about freedom, democracy, and prosperity…

@wlaatje good questions. There's already been replacement of Chiefs past year. What kind of people are on the staff now? Are they trumployalists/evangelical christians/spineless? Ready to do some destruction?
