@randahl There's one safeguard that can be placed, and maybe it will work. If Denmarka ASAP signs with a private enterprise (possibly setup just for that purpose) a deal which grants that enterprise full unlimited rights to access all minerals, fossil fuels, and others. Of course that enterprise would do nothing with them, but the whole deal would function as a 'tag', making it harder for trump to promise pieces of Greenland to US companies.

As was clearly stated in "The Art of the Deal", Donald Trump has *always* broken his contracts. He *recommended* that you get subcontractors to start the work, and once they've invested their labor and materials sufficiently, you simply break the contract and re-negotiate the deal.
