@evan yes. They're considered abandoned property, and illegal to place in the first place in most areas (though cities often look the other way to some extent).

Most rust and become unusable within a couple months, then eventually rust away. Or the city cuts them off first.

So I nondestructively remove them when I can, and preserve them.
