Why? We're segmenting notifications to prepare for Direct Messages and to show more relevant notifications. Also we now support System notifications in app, and have a "Mark as Read" for New Followers and Activities.

@dansup something odd about the placement of the notification count too. I presume tappin that row goes somewhere, if so why hide the chevron in these rows?
@fabienmarry the top 3 main categories do link to new screens, we only show unread notification counts for each one, so the chevron represents 0 unread notifications
@dansup chevron means go to a screen not “0 notifications”. Just because you want to show a badge shouldn’t mean you remove that.
I’d argue a badge is unecessary when you could have one per line: if everything stands out nothing does. Especially as your button style looks similar.
Would work better w simple unread count, as Mail does.
IMHO
Separating new follows from activity interactions makes it easier to find what your looking for, while also adding support for system notifications.
