Or, y'know, we could deploy the stuff that works and is already cheaper than the fossil alternative, while doing the hard political work of figuring out how to pass the savings on to households, balancing the interests of shareholders and ratepayers.
@gwagner They will promise infinite energy, the end of death, the stars and just anything to keep investors pumping their billions into #AI.
Isn't it funny how all of these AI gurus don't promise things like the end of poverty, more freedom, or the end of environmental devastation.
That would be inconvenient, because such improvements should begin to materialize and become quantifiable now. Instead, their promises are placed into the future to avoid any possibility of measuring them today.
