A6 I realized a few years ago that I'd made my winter bike as nearly as I could into a Dutch granny bike without replacing the (old rigid MTB) frame altogether.
So I got a real Dutch granny bike for my next winter bike.
Fenders, fully covered chain, 3 speed hub, and roller brakes. No working parts are exposed to snow and grit. I just don't clean it.
