NAS experts (or opinionated beginners!): Do I NEED a Thunderbolt drive enclosure like the OWC Thunderbay if my main purposes for a #NAS are things like backups, self-hosted photos (Immich), a Plex media server, etc? Or is a UBC-C enclosure ok?

Bonus question: Will I need Thunderbolt if I decide to use my NAS for video editing?

Thank you in advance for any advice. I've seen too many horror stories, and it's time to make this happen.
